Junip has a new video out for their single, “Line of Fire.” The single is off the band’s self- titled sophomore effort.
As mxdwn previously reported, the single debuted last month on the tails of news of an upcoming album. The video is the first installment in a two-part series.
If you are not familiar with Junip, the band is comprised of José González, Elias Araya, and Tobias Winterkorn.
Swedish filmmaker Mikel Cee Karlsson, who has directed the document The Extraordinary Ordinary Life of José González, directed the music video.
The video tells the story of an old man who isn’t entirely happy with his life. He is stuck in a relationship that he isn’t happy with, and his decisions have been made for him over the course of his life. The video shows his father watching over him, making sure that he makes the right decisions. The character finds himself questioning his life as he reflects on his experiences.
The album was recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden and will be released on April 23. Until then you can watch the video for the new single below.
