Pure X will release upcoming second album Crawling Up The Stairs on May 14.
Texan band, Pure X, with members Nate Grace, Jesse Jenkins and Austin Youngblood stay true to their roots from their last album Pleasure, with their emotionally heavy set sounds. Crawling Up The Stairs does does not speak about the escape of reality, but what would happen if escaping is not an option and facing reality is the only solution. Crawling Up The Stairs is an emotionally driven album. The album was derived from Nate Grace’s experience with his leg injury. During his recording session in 2012 he had no money, no insurance, and doubt about walking again before his surgery. After a night of insomnia he was able to regain strength from his exhaustive night. He was ready to leave his worries to the night and ready to heal. Crawling Up The Stairs isn’t all emotionally dark driven. “All of the Future (All of the Past) is the records most positive song. The albums emotional rollercoaster ride makes it seem that even through the bands dark times, they can make it out of anything.
