The Postal Service Announces Spring 2013 Tour Dates

The Postal Service are officially doing an all out reunion tour. Read more for full information.

The Postal Service is Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Tamborello of Dntel as a one of a kind pop-electro act. They released one acclaimed album in 2003 and then disappeared. A few weeks ago they shocked the world by announcing a reunion at Coachella and a deluxe reissue of their only LP Give Up. They have now announced a full headlining tour, their first in ten years, which includes two U.K. dates, a stop in Paris and a headlining spot in New York City at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center.

One piece of exciting news is that Jenny Lewis has become an official member of the touring band. Lewis was previously in Rilo Kiley and performed backup vocals on many songs on Give Up including the hit “We Will Become Silhouettes”. Lewis also sings on the two previously unreleased songs “Turn Around” and “A Tattered Line of String” which will appear on the Give Up Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition. In a way having Jenny Lewis on board makes this more exciting especially because she toured with the band back in 2003. The full tour dates are below.

***UPDATE:
The Postal Service have added more dates to their Give Up reunion tour, including stops in Seattle, Santa Barbra, San Diego and Los Angles. Check out the revised tour dates below.
