One of the most interesting events slated for the LA Phil’s Brooklyn Festival this April is Planetarium, the show put on by Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly and multi-instrumentalist/singer Sufjan Stevens on Monday, April 22nd at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Throughout the evening, the musicians will come together to “consider the cosmos”.
More, from the Brooklyn Festival’s website:
For the first half, a string quartet performs each artist’s classically informed compositions. In the second half, Stevens’ voice anchors a planet-by-planet song cycle that melds the collaborators’ distinct creative contributions into a harmonic whole.
That definitely sounds like an intriguing night, doesn’t it?
Tickets for this quirky performance are on sale now via Ticketmaster and cost $52.50-$92.50 after fees.
