Seattle indie rock act Telekinesis will be issuing their third album Dormarion on April 2. This follows up the 2009 self-titled debut and 2011’s 12 Desperate Straight Lines. The first single “Ghosts and Creatures” can be heard below.
The visionary behind the band is 26-years-old Michael Benjamin Lerner, who has created all of the music as well as the direction of the band.
Written by Lerner in both his home in Seattle and his family’s home in the San Juan Islands, he recorded the entire album with Spoon drummer Jim Eno (Heartless Bastards, Strange Boys) at Public Hi-Fi Studio in Austin, TX (Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Explosions in the Sky).
Preorders of Dormarion will be available via the Merge store, and will receive a free, limited edition flexi-disc of a demo version of “Ghosts and Creatures” while supplies last.
Telekinesis will be on tour and will employ the live lineup of guitarist Erik Walters (The Globes), bassist Eric Elbogen (Say Hi) and keyboardist and drummer Rebecca Cole (Wild Flag, The Minders).
