Deathfix Debut Self-Titled Album Set For Early 2013 Release, Featuring Former Fugazi Member Brendan Canty

Followers of Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty have cause to celebrate. The multi-instrumentalist’s new band, Deathfix, is a partnership with Rich Morel (Morel, Blowoff), who Canty met while touring in Bob Mould’s band. The group’s self-titled debut album, expected to be a mixture of glam and progressive rock, is slated for an early 2013 release.

Canty, a multi-instrumentalist known for his epic drumming with Fugazi, will be singing and playing guitar this time out. Beyond playing keys, partner Rich Morel is expected to share vocal duties, as well. Rounding out the 4-piece are bassist Mark Cisneros (Medications) and drummer Devin Ocampo (Faraquet, Medications).
