Photos: Bonde Do Role, Poolside and Com Truise Live at the Echoplex

One couldn’t choose a more eclectic mix of musicians playing at the Echoplex on 11/2, with Bonde Do Role, Poolside and Com Truise sharing the stage. Bonde Do Role, a rambunctious trio from Brazil, came to the Echoplex to party. The trio started the night by jumping off the stage and challenging the audience to a limbo. Their set was a mixture of lively brazilian beats fused with hip hop and rock, perfectly matching their onstage antics.

In contrast to Bonde Do Role,  Poolside was all about the laid back melody. Described as daytime disco, Poolside offered songs that had the sold-out Echoplex moving. Swirling disco infused beats mixed with synths keeping the crowd mesmerized.

The night ended with Com Truise. On a dimly lit stage, stood a producer and his drummer. The audience was treated to a visual fanfare of lights to vibrant projections playing behind the duo.   The beats and synth were in a commanding rhythmic syncopation.
