After initially reuniting for the series of Revelation Records 25th anniversary shows in New York City earlier this year, post-hardcore/emo quartet Texas Is The Reason have announced one final tour around the US. There are only eight dates for their trip, starting with Chicago for the final run of Revelation Records 25th anniversary shows and ending in Los Angeles. The shows are sprinkled between January through March. Once the dates are finished, there is one final show at the Groezrock Festival in Belgium. After that the band is hanging it up. Luckily, Philly was chosen as one of the eight stops Texas Is The Reason will be making. They come to Union Transfer on February 16th.
Texas Is The Reason was started in 1994 by members of influential hardcore bands looking for a new direction and sound. The group’s only full length release, Do You Know Who You Are?, was one of Revelation Records highest selling albums of all-time. As they were on the verge of signing a record deal with one of the major labels, the band broke up in 1997. Texas Is The Reason have only reunited once prior, back in 2006 for two shows in New York City. They are often cited as major influences for many of the post-hardcore and emo bands that came out after them. Don’t miss out on the last opportunity to see them before they end things for good!
