San Francisco based publishing house McSweeney’s and radio station KCRW 89.9 FM (and KCRW.com) have teamed up to launch a radio event created around Flaming Lips’ vocalist Wayne Coyne called “Wayne Coyne’s Human Head-Shaped Tumor”, airing November 24 and 25 at 5 pm PST and available via podcast.
The one hour radio program is produced by Richard Parks (son of KCRW’s Van Dyke Parks) and features new recordings from the Flaming Lips, Eleanor Friedberger, Bill Callahan, Nico Muhly, Okkervil River, and an appearance by Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear.
