Austin Psych Fest, curated by the Reverberation Appreciation Society, and model psych-rock citizens The Black Angels, announced today via it’s website the location for round number six will take place at the all outdoor venue of Carson Creek Ranch. The first round of confirmed acts were also released along with ticketing info. California dark-indie rock legends Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are slated to be Friday’s headliner. It seemed Austin Psych Fest and BRMC were attempting to release this info simultaneously, but it didn’t quite pan out that way with BRMC’s camp having a few technical glitches, and then Austin Psych Fest’s once the announcement was live. Austin Psych Fest’s Facebook pages currently is still updated as promising more info at 1pm central time today, and there has been no twitter activity from either. Regardless, both websites are updated to reflect the appearance of BRMC at Psych Fest. Not to be overshadowed by an amazing headliner, other bands included this year include The Black Ryder, The Growlers, Spectrum, White Fence, The Soft Moon, and Dead Skeletons. It’s difficult to imagine Austin Psych Fest could become any more awe-inspiring at this point, but it’s only round one of announcements. Stay tuned for more artists and updates.
