The Flaming Lips Announce Cover Album Playing Hide and Seek with the Ghosts of Dawn, Rework of In the Court of the Crimson King

The Flaming Lips are officially releasing a cover album of King Crimson’s In The Court of King Crimson titled Playing Hide and Seek With the Ghosts of Dawn. For more information on who else is involved and what to expect read more.

Earlier this year The Flaming Lips released The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, an LP featuring many other notable musical contributions including Bon Iver, Kesha, Jim James, Neon Indian and Yoko Ono. The Fearless Freaks are now releasing a cover album of King Crimson’s debut LP In The Court of King Crimson. The Lips have retitled it Playing Hide and Seek With the Ghosts of Dawn and have brought back some of their Heady Fwends including New Fumes, Stardeath and White Dwarfs and Linear Downfall. In a interview with Mxdwn back in August Lips frontman Wayne Coyne hinted at the project’s completion but didn’t have too many details. It now appears Playing Hide and Seek With the Ghosts of Dawn will be on sale during their current tour and remain on sale afterward. It is available to stream from The Flaming Lips’ website The Future Heart or you can stream two versions of “Moonchild” below.
