The goal is to be “a rock band that could make a dance track too, without crossing over to the extreme side,” frontman Jakob Dylan says about the Wallflowers most recent album, Glad All Over. Borrowing a slightly Clash , and even having a member of said band stop by, and throw a hand in the creative mix, the Wallflowers have put themselves in a different rock territory, as they have been in their history dating back to 1989. This most recent effort is the first in seven years for the band, and it will be interesting to see how it meshes live with their catalog of songs. If not yet familiar with the Wallflowers, yes, Jakob is indeed the son of the most famous Dylan.
