Recently, Sleigh Bells told the Huffington Post that they are “halfway” through a planned new album for 2013 follow-up. “We’ll have three full-length albums in three years. Pretty prolific, huh?” guitarist Derek Miller was quoted as saying.
The band has spent the better part of 2012 touring in support of their most recent album, Reign of Terror. That release marked a transition for the group from the more sonic assault of their debut album and according to Miller the new album is “a lot more clean…It might sound surprising.” Singer Alexis Krauss also spoke about her role on the upcoming album, saying “I use my voice in more of a, dare I say, traditional way.”
Look forward to more upcoming announcements about the new album and check out the list of their remaining tour dates below. Hopefully, Miller can avoid any more skateboarding accidents until it’s over.
