The Flaming Lips Finally Release In the Court of the Crimson King, Available on Band’s Tour

The Flaming Lips cover album of King Crimson’s In the Court of the Crimson King will now be available for purchase on the tour of project collaborators and fellow Oklahomans, Stardeath and White Dwarves.

Back in August, Wayne Coyne spoke with mxdwn and explained how the idea for this project came about. At the time, Coyne said:

I don’t really know how we’re going to do it. You know, we’ll probably somehow put this out on Soundcloud and a couple of things where you can just have it. I don’t really know yet.

A couple months later, further details arose that included a track listing as well as some input from members of the bands New Fumes and Linear Downfall, who contributed to the album.

Now, it appears that fans will be able to get their hands on a copy of this very ambitious project. Through the band’s Instagram, Stardeath and White Dwarves (which includes Dennis Coyne, Wayne’s Nephew) tweeted pictures of the record’s cover and mentioned that they would be on sale during their current tour. The band also explained, via Twitter, that the album would be available for sale online once the tour completed.

Keep an eye out for further details to arise.
