Singer/Songwriter and activist John Denver was one of the most popular acoustic musicians to come out of the 1970s until he died tragically in a plane crash in 1997. 15 years after his death ATO Records is creating a tribute album to the late songwriter due to be released in February of 2013. A portion of the proceeds will benefit environmental organizations in Denver’s name. The compilation album features many of today’s folk groups covering all of Denver’s best songs.
