Depeche Mode has been confirmed as the first headline act for the edition edition of Bilbao BBK Live Festival, happening July 11t through 13th in Bilbao, Spain. This will be their only Spanish festival appearance in 2013.
The three day event occurs in Kobetamendi, atop a hill surrounded by mountains and overlooking the city of Bilbao. The location is an easy ten minutes from the city, and has been well liked by national and international festival attendees.
Depeche Mode will be touring across Europe next summer, behind their forthcoming 13th studio album expected out in the spring time. They will be playing 34 shows in 25 European countries. This will be their first shows since the 2009-2010 Tour of the Universe, which included their last headline appearance at this festival.
The 2012 edition featured Radiohead and the Cure, as well as introducing a third stage to the ever growing festival. Past editions featured Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Janes Addiction, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Suede.
Three Day Early Bird tickets for the festival, including camping, will be available for sale beginning on November 6th until December 11th, for £75.
