Under the Radar Magazine hopes to raise funds for the War Child Charity. Musicians have autographed signs for the magazine’s annual The Protest Issue which is on news stands now and are auctioning them off on eBay.
The Protest Issue photographed artists holding up individual signs that were personally painted and autographed.
According to their website www.warchild.us, “War Child works with war-affected communities to help children reclaim their childhood through access to education, opportunity and justice. War Child takes an active role in raising public awareness around the impact of war on communities and the shared responsibility to act.”
The Protest Issue features two covers, one with Dan Deacon and another with Tegan and Sara. It includes major stories on the music of Occupy, musicians’ involvement in the Obama campaign and the election, the difficulties of writing good protest songs and more.
