The instrumental band El Ten Eleven is set to release their fifth full length album, titled Transitions, on November 6th, 2012. This album will be self-released through the duo’s Fake Record Label and is guaranteed to include lots of beyond skillful guitar trickery and experimental drum beats.
El Ten Eleven isn’t just any instrumental band, their guitar loops take twists and turns which keep the tracks exciting and fun. The songs on this new album are some of the most technically complex in the duo’s career and are sure to impress. El Ten Eleven’s style can be most accurately described as pop with guitar licks in place of verses. The two members of the band both got divorces and moved to different cities since the release of their last album. These life altering changes and difficult times are bound to inspire great emotion for this album. Their dark times have been an inspiration for this passionate album. El Ten Eleven has even started a Kickstarter where fans can pre-order the single, the album, and other premiums such as a limited edition lithograph.
Here is a video of the duo performing their single “Thanks Bill”, an ode to the creator of Alcoholics Anonymous, Bill Wilson:
This song has a sort of euphoric feel with the mix of electric percussion and drums. The entire album is sure to be filled with surprising and entertaining tracks similar to “Thanks Bill”. The complete record will be available for purchase on November 6th.
