Primus finally announced its “out of the box” 3D tour dates.
This tour is not just about the music- it’s about the whole artistic package. The tour has an interesting, never been done before visual component that will enhance the audience’s experience. The band teamed up with 3D Live (Burbank, California), which is a California-based outgrowth of George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic. The reason why this tour is such a big deal is because this is the first traveling 3D show of our time. The show will also feature Quad Surround Sound. The audience is recommended to wear the free 3D glasses that they receive during the show.
The tour will be showcasing their newest album, Green Naugahyde. The album was produced and engineered by Les Claypool (the band’s bassist and vocalist) in his home studio. The album features Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde and drummer Jay Lane.
