The case of Nick Oliveri’s domestic violence towards his ex girlfriend has resulted in a negotiated sentence of 15 years behind bars, 3 years of felony probation, one year of anger management, and 200 hours of community service.
Last year, Oliveri found himself in a stand off with a SWAT team for four hours at his Hollywood home for physically abusing his girlfriend.
The day before, Oliveri physically abused his girlfriend. She returned the following day to retrieve her stuff. The then couple started arguing again and the problem escalated into physical abuse. A neighbor called the police. Oliveri locked himself and the girl in his apartment. The SWAT team arrived promptly and when Oliveri finally gave himself up, the police found cocaine, loaded weapons, and methamphetamines in his apartment.
Oliveri was charged with a felony for domestic violence and charged with over $100,000 in bail. Since then, he has been able to make deals with prosecutors to lessen his penalty. He pleaded one count of possession of cocaine, which granted him dismissal of 6 other felony counts. In addition, the judge is willing to delete the case from his record if Oliveri can stay clean for six months.
