Ex Mars Volta drummer prodigy Thomas Pridgen’s newer project The Memorials is a collaborative effort between himself, and a few Berkley College of Music friends. Viveca on vocals, and Nick on guitar. With the addition of floaty synths, organ sounds, and tons of percussion, they make something that sounds genuine, and truly creative in shape, form, and matter. Polyrhythm in full effect. It would be suggested to go see them live if simply to see how killer Thomas’ playing style is, but in this case, the whole package of sound is worth the attention, and the inevitable rocking out.
