Celebrated Canadian multi-instrumentalist, Devin Townsend, is continuing his Devin Townsend Project with the new album, Epicloud. The LP is set for a North American September 18th release and a European September 24th release.Epicloud will feature thirteen tracks that are sure to lure listeners in with its poppy, catchy hooks. The album will also feature contain guest appearances by Anneke van Giersbergen. In September, the Devin Townsend Project and Katatonia will collaborate for the “Epid Kings & Idols” tour. The two will co-headline will Paradise Lost will offer support as Stolen Babies open for the Devin Townsend Project and Katatonia.
Prior for the Devin Townsend Project, Townsend was the founder, songwriter, vocalist and guitarist for the extreme metal band, Strapping Young lad from 1994 to 2007. He has had solo material released under his own independent record label, HevyDevy records. His own solo work combines an intricate amalgamation of hard rock and prog-rock. In 2002, he formed the Devin Townsend Band. His singing style is known to range from screaming to vocals that are reminiscent of opera-singing.
