All Tomorrow’s Parties I’ll Be Your Mirror NJ Moved to New York City

The All Tomorrow’s Parties I’ll Be Your Mirror NJ, which was slated to happen September 21-23, 2012, has been moved from Astbury Park, New Jersey to Pier 36 in Manhattan, New York.

A new indoor venue located between Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges by the East River, Pier 36 was supposed to be the event’s new home starting in 2013, but ATP moved it a year earlier due to “unavoidable logistical concerns” and the inability for fan accommodations at the former location. ATP is offering full refunds until July 31, 2012.

Due to the changes, Louis CK, Sharon Van Etten and Reigning Sound and Factory Floor will no longer be performing due to conflicting schedules.

Louis CK’s management has issued this statement:

“Louis CK who was originally scheduled for the Asbury Park event will not be performing at ATP in Manhattan due to scheduling conflicts. Check louisck.com for info about his tour schedule.”

The new additions to the festival include Philip Glass & Tyondai Braxton, Janeane Garofalo, Lightning Bolt, Lee Ranaldo, Chavez, Kurt Braunohler, Afterhours, Joseph Arthur, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Album Leaf, the Psychich Paramount, Braids, Tall Firs, Blanck Mass, Endless Boogie, Demdike Stare and DJ Jonathan Toubin. More artists are expected to be announced shortly.

The Afghan Whigs will still be headlining Saturday night of the event, with frontman Greg Dulli still curating. This marks the band’s first appearance after a 13-year hiatus.

Update: Frank Ocean is headlining the Friday night All Tomorrow’s Party date, hand selected by Greg Dulli of the Afghan Whigs. Ironically, the Afghan Whigs recently covered Ocean’s song “Lovecrimes” as a free download, showing their love of his music.

On that same night, Hannibal Buress is performing on the comedy stage. Lee Randaldo (ex-Sonic Youth) has revealed his performance is now a special ‘Hanging Guitars’ show, along with his scheduled Sunday appearance with an extra full band featuring drummer Steve Shelley. Edan the Deejay will be making an appearance on Friday with his DJ set.

I Break Horses has dropped off of their scheduled Sunday appearance after postponing all US dates until 2013.
