Amanda Palmer & the Grand Theft Orchestra released the music video for “Want It Back” Monday, offering an uncensored glimpse into the band’s forthcoming album Theatre is Evil, out September 11th on 8ft. records.
Using stop-motion animation, the video employs Palmer’s naked body as a canvas for hand-written lyrics. Palmer explains that the nudity is not meant to be sexual or erotic, but an expression of her body politics and body pride. This stunning piece of art is not to be missed; check it out below.
The band will begin their international tour September 10th, and tickets go on sale this Friday, with a limited number available now from her website. Check out our coverage of the album details here and the tour dates below.
