Trent Reznor, Nine Inch Nails frontman and movie soundtrack composer, now dabbles in scoring video games. Reznor composed the theme song for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, set to be released November 13th.
Reznor won an Oscar for his soundtrack to the Social Network last year (Consequence of Sound) and scored The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. He describes this new theme song for Call of Duty: Black Ops II as “weighty” with “a sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface.” (USA Today)
In other news, Reznor will soon release a finished album with his band How to Destroy Angels, and is working on new music with Nine Inch Nails as well.
