Ghostigital released their new album, Division of Culture & Tourism, on June 30th, highlighting the talents of guest rappers, rockers, punks and even Brit poppers in addition to those of Ghostigital’s Einar Örn Benediktsson and Curver Thoroddsen.
Following up their hit 2006 album In Cod We Trust, reviewed by MXDWN, Ghostigital is back with more experimental industrial avant-garde, and brought friends this time.
The album’s title draws from Einar Örn’s new day job as a Reykjavik city councillor, and includes rappers Dälek and Sensational, King Buzzo from noise-rock Melvins, David Byrne of Talking Heads, Alan Vega from 70’s band Suicide, Nick Zinner from The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Brit popper Damon Albarn, and the Icelandic experimental/noise group Stilluppsteypa.
