The Flaming Lips have replaced their track featuring Chris Martin on their collaborative LP, The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, with a song with Aaron Behrens of Ghostland Observatory, titled “Tasered and Maced.”
The collaborative LP was originally released on vinyl in April for Record Store Day 2012, and was re-released with Warner Bros. Records on CD and digitally yesterday. The Flaming Lips teamed up with a variety of artists ranging from Erykah Badu and Ke$ha to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes and Bon Iver.
“Tasered and Maced,” the last song on the 13 track album, replaced “I Don’t Want You To Die” featuring Chris Martin, and features Behrens of Ghostland Observatory ranting about an inebriated encounter with a police officer over electric piano riffs. The Flaming Lips will tour Europe this July, and release a new studio album in fall.
