Thurston Moore, former singer, songwriter and guitarist of Sonic Youth, has formed a new band called Chelsea Light Moving. They recently released a track based on the last words of experimental writer William S. Burroughs, entitled “Burroughs.”
The new band features Keith Wood on guitar, Samara Lubelski on bass, John Moloney on drums, and of course Thurston on the vocals. The punk sound is reminiscent of that of Sonic Youth, and the song is described by Moore as “an amphetamine sonnet for the on-the-loose lovers of the world.”(Matador)
