Front man and singer Wayne Coyne can’t stop raving about the upcoming album from The Flaming Lips.
Coyne raves that this album will be their best album yet. The band is set to release the LP “The Flaming Lips and Heady Friends” digitally and on CD on June 25th, but Coyne stated that they are almost ready to release the entire album. Ke$ha, Bon Iver, Yoko Ono, Nick Cave, My Morning Jacket and Tame Impala have teamed up with Coyne and The Flaming Lips on the LP and the album.
The album is about internal fear and internal sadness about living.
Coyne is very excited for the album release. He describes the album as:
Big songs, big arrangements, big productions, big mixing. It feels to me like religious music from the future that’s like this distorted melody coming from somewhere else in the universe and we’re just sort of collecting them.
