The Raveonettes Announce New Album Observator For September Release

Danish Indie-Rock duo The Raveonettes have announced a new album called Observator due out in September. For more information and Fall tour dates read more.

The Raveonettes are prepping a new album called Observator due out in September and a Fall tour to support it. This follows 2011’s B-sides comp. Raven In The Night and 2012’s Into the Night EP. Observator will be their sixth full length and Vice Records will be distributing it. The album’s material is reportedly inspired by a three day drinking bender guitarist Sune Rose Wagner went on before entering the studio. He explained his wild inspiration in an interview with SPIN magazine:

“I’ve always worked like that. I try to channel [drinking] into something creative. I write down simple words for lyrics, song titles, anything. Or it can be actual stories. The whole idea with the album title — and the song “Observations” — came because I feel like I was sort of like out there observing myself and other people and what goes on around me.
