Experimental Rock band Ween have decided to call it quits.
After being in a band since 1984 and releasing over 11 studio albums in that time, American experimental rock band Ween has decided to call it quits. The band is breaking up on admirable terms as the members are off to pursue other projects. According to Sterogum Aaron Freeman, aka Gene Ween, announced he was retiring the Gene Ween name.
“It’s time to move on…I’m retiring Gene Ween … It’s been a long time, 25 years. It was a good run.”
He went on to explain that there are no hard feelings, “For me it’s a closed book. In life sometimes, in the universe, you have to close some doors to have others open … There’s no, ‘Goddamn that such and such!’ For me, I’d like to think it’s a door I can close finally.”
