It has just been announced that Antony Hegarty of Antony & The Johnsons will be curating Meltdown Festival 2012, which is set to take place 1-12 of August. More details after the jump.
Since Meltdown Festival was created in 1993, the event has always been curated by an influential artist. In the past years, artists such as Nick Cave, Morrissey, and Jarvis Cocker have assumed the responsibilities. The festival stands for twelve days of music, debate and performance that reflects the curator’s interests. These artists and musicians play and exhibit their work at Southbank Centre.
