Jack White has made the first ever 3RPM record, a record that will play only three revolutions per minute, according to Prefix. This setting is no longer an option for any record player. The album includes all of the Blue Series singles. The sound, however, is incredibly difficult to hear because it plays so quickly.
See for yourself what a 3RPM record sounds like:
Jack White founded Third Man Records in Detroit in 2001 after already establishing himself as a musician. In 2009, the studio moved to its current location in Nashville, TN, where they continue to shake the boundaries of the music industry. Third Man Records gave away the 3 RPM for free, but it then was sold on Ebay. According to White, “it would take 333 days of 33 hours training per day for your finger, hand, and arm muscles to spin at a continuous speed of 3 rpm.”
