UK indie pop act Fanfarlo had a nice sound as well. Using a liberal amount of violin in each song, the simple twang and pop ditty approach reached for something more folksy in deliver. Not quite pickin’-and-grinnin’ per se, but something a little more organic and warm than the average indie group. On album their material falls a little flat, with little indication of innovation or unique color, but whatever wasn’t captured successfully on album rings through clearly in their live presentation.
