Early in the day at SPIN’s yearly party at Stubb’s, Escort delivered old-school disco with joyful energy. The band contained 14 on stage players, including a mini string section. For a genre that largely isn’t done nowadays unless it’s a throwback nod to the greats from the 70’s, Escort was a fun attempt at modern disco music.
