Those looking forward to the sophomore album from Mumford and Sons might have to wait longer than expected. While the record is in the last stages of production, it seems that there are some loose ends to wrap up.
Mumford and Sons’ own Ben Lovett has stated that there is plenty work to be done on the folk group’s new album. They found immense success with their 2009 debut, Sigh No More. No release date has been set for the new record due to decisions left to be made about the final cut of it and track listing. Lovett has said,
“We are in the final stages, we’re not finished, we don’t quite know the exact track listing. We have kind of road-tested some songs, and we have picked up some new songs and dropped some ones that people might have thought we were going to be putting on the record. We just want to make a record that’s cohesive and one that we feel represents us best right now.”
Although their album plans may be delayed, the group will be touring Europe in the coming months. More information can be found here. Check out the video for their hit “Little Lion Man” below.
