Runaways fans could be in for a treat this year, as some of its members are looking forward to working together again sometime in the near future.
Apparently, a re-connection was made between former Runaways members Cherie Currie and Lita Ford. This happened courtesy of none other than Joan Jett. Currie let the world know on Facebook the other day that she and Ford had satisfying and productive meeting recently. It’s been about 30 years since the band was together. There is now speculation that the remaining members (original drummer, Sandy West, passed in 2006 of lung cancer) could possibly schedule a reunion show or tour, much like some of their contemporaries.
The Runaways are known for singles like “Cherry Bomb” and “Rock & Roll,” and for being leaders in the punk scene.
