According to Prefix, the social music site iLike has been shut down by MySpace. The site used to be the streaming music application on Facebook, and in 2009, the app had over 45 million users. However, MySpace purchase iLike that same year and now redirects the site to the MySpace music homepage.
Hadi Partovi tried to blame the death of iLike on Rupert Murdoch and general changes to the Facebook platform. As Facebook apps evolved and became more secure against viruses, they excluded popular apps of the past such as iLike. So for now it’s farewell to iLike.
