Golden State noise-rockers HEALTH will compose the soundtrack and a dynamic in-game score for Max Payne 3, an upcoming release from New York based game development company Rockstar Games.
Video games “are becoming as culturally relevant as films,” explains the band. HEALTH was particularly attracted to Rockstar’s products because, according to the group, they enjoy “a raw and tasteful aesthetic.”
“Max Payne 3” is, naturally, the third installment of the video game series, which also spawned a 2008 film. The series follows ex-New York police officer Max Payne. The latest game finds him in Brazil, where he must rescue his employer’s trophy wife. The trailer for the new game is already out, and includes some of the music HEALTH has composed.
