Infected Mushroom Announce New Album Army of Mushrooms for May 2012 Release

Electro rock/dance duo INFECTED MUSHROOM is releasing their eighth studio album, Army of Mushrooms, on May 8, 2012 via Dim Mak Records.

MUSHROOM formed in 1997 between Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen who are both originally from Kiryat Yam, Haifa District, Israel. Since their start they have released seven records and worked with leading names in the industry including Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction and Jonathan Davis of Korn. Now they are set to offer up their latest album, Army of Mushrooms. This time around they collaborated with artists Borgore, Zedd, and Zia Macovich on various tracks. When speaking about the new approach they took, Duvdevani said this,

“It’s been ready for a while, but we kind of changed the album all the way up until now. It’s basically a brand new album that was intended to be out last year. A lot of material came in at the last minute and a lot of new influences. I think it’s a huge difference because the album is much more diverse now than it was before—sound-wise and music-wise. This album has the most diverse electronic music genres that we have ever had before. On this album, we have drum and bass, dubstep, electro, trance and glitch hop.”

The group released the single and video for “U-R SO FU**ED” on Valentine’s Day. You can view it below. In it, the two simulate fighting Argentinean wrestlers Lilian Pavone and Norma Alvarez.
