Sonisphere UK 2012 Festival Lineup Announced Featuring Headliners Queen with Adam Lambert, Faith No More and KISS

After just announcing the lineup for Sonisphere France headlined by Faith No More and Evanescence, the massive chain of European festivals has outdone themselves yet again. This time, they’ve just announced the lineup for Sonisphere UK and it’s doozy. The UK festival is located in Knebworth (just outside of London) and is set for July 6th, 7th and 8th. This year’s edition is headlined by Kiss, Queen with Adam Lambert and Faith No More on each night of the festival respectively.Yup. Adam Lambert will be taking over lead vocalist duties for Queen for this show (the position last held by Paul Rodgers on their very forgettable album The Cosmos Rocks). This confirms the at one-point reported, then temporarily denied reports that Adam Lambert will become Queen’s new lead singer. Currently, Sonisphere UK is their only announced show together. The lineup is rounded out by Evanescence, Incubus, Refused, Marilyn Manson and Mastodon. Tickets go on sale Thursday February 23rd. Check out the complete lineup below.
