In a retro twist, Tomahawk will be releasing all three of their albums on vinyl on April 21st, Record Store Day.  According to Pacificlectic, The three albums will be part of a vinyl set titled “Eponymous to Anonymous,” and the set will also have a spot for the group’s upcoming fourth album.

Led by Duane Denison, Tomahawk is made up of Mike Patton, John Stanier, and Trevor Dunn.  The alternative rock super-group has worked together on three albums, Tomahawk, Mit Gas, and Anonymous.  The band was formed in 2000 when the musicians had all left previous bands, including Mr. Bungle, The Jesus Lizard, and Helmet.

By releasing “Eponymous to Anonymous” on April 21st, the band is honoring Record Store Day, which was officially started in 2007 to celebrate the art of music.  Tomahawk follows bands such as Metallica and R.E.M. in releasing a record on Record Store Day.
