Hailing from Seattle, Shabazz Palaces continues to impact the world of hip hop with its unique approach to music. The group blends hip hop with rap and even jazz. They recently announced the dates for their Spring tour, which will cover parts of Europe and America.
Ishmael Butler, or ‘Palaceer Lazaro,’ leads the group along with Tendai Maraire, a talented musician who has mastered multiple instruments. After anonymously releasing two EPs, the group finally released their debut album, Black Up, in 2011.
