The sketch comedian/musician duo of Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen have extended their Portlandia: The Tour due to overwhelming demand. The tour–in support of the IFC sketch comedy show Portlandia— has just added a third week and six additional cities to their sold out tour.
The second season of IFC’s Portlandia, featuring co-creators, writers, and stars Brownstein and Armisen humorous, romanticized rendering of the quirks of Northwestern life in Portland, Oregon, kicked on on Friday. Its popular stage production features special clips from the show’s second season, personal anecdotes about the creation of the show, and occasional surprise special guests.
The tour’s additional dates will include a stop in Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, and Nashville. Tickets for the third leg of the live tour went on sale today–click here for more information, and check out Portlandia on Fridays at 10pm ET/PT on IFC.
