Another popular Los Angeles club is going through a change of ownership, much like The Music Box closing we previously reported on. The popular Silver Lake restaurant and concert Venue El Cid is being sold by owner Steve Edelson, as reported by L.A. Slush.
Edelson decided to sell the property after the L.A. Fire Department ruled that maximum capacity for the venue space and outdoor patio was only 125.
“That simply did not work for me,” Edelson told L.A. Slush, “so i sold it to a real estate guy who has been into it for awhile by the name of Scott Milano.”
Edelson does not know what Milano plans to do with the space, but the he has urged concert promoters who had events schedule at El Cid to call Los Globos club and have their shows moved there.
