The Foo Fighters’ David Grohl is collaborating with Ratt’s Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini in an unlikely trio that has reportedly just finished recording new song. According to Noise Creep, the track will be included on an upcoming Grohl project, working title “TBA.”
“We’ll let [Dave] tell you about that when he’s ready, kidz,” tweeted Pearcy. “Not for a Ratt record. Thing is, it’s a way cool thing of Dave. We’re just privileged to b a part of that. Next Ratt!”
The Foo Fighters also have a full schedule for the start of the new year. They’ve recently confirmed that they are planning work for a new 2012 album, less than a year after the April release of their latest Wasting Light, an effort that is up for the 54th annual Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Via his official blog, Grohl has hinted that there is more work to be done on the Foo Fighers front:
“We’re not finished yet. There are still more shows to play, more songs to write, more albums to record, for years to come. I mean if you would have told me 17 years ago that in 2012 I would be writing songs for our eighth studio album…well.”
Stay tuned for more information on the Ratt/Grohl collaboration and the upcoming Grohl project, “TBA.”
