Just after his hit with Doomtree’s No Kings, Minneapolis-based producer Lazerbeak has announced a forthcoming instrumental album, Lava Bangers, due out from Doomtree Records on January 24.
Doomtree member Lazerbeak has had a successful 2011 with the notable February release of Sims’ Bad Time Zoo and the November Doomtree release of No Kings.
The instrumental 20-track album was compiled from two years of recordings taken in Lazerbeak’s basement studio and features the production efforts of Twin Cities DJ Plain Ole Bill. With his help, the forthcoming release promises to top the previous work in attention to detail and polish. “The tracks are brief and full,” the group states in a press release, “with swift dynamic changes and purposeful, deliberated structures.”
Lazerbeak will also perform over forty shows on every night of Doomtree’s upcoming No Kings tour.
Look out for Lava Bangers in stores on January 24, or reserve yourself a copy via the pre-order page on Doomtree’s official site.
