The group, which began as Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen’s side project, was conceived after the death of Journgesen’s country music hero, Buck Owens. Owens “blessed” the group just prior to his death, inspiring Jourgensen to make Buck Satan and the 666 Shooters his primary creative outlet.
The group is known for its melding of metal, psycho-country and outlaw country elements, and the forthcoming album’s ensemble draws from a variety of well-known sources, including Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Tony Campos of Static-X, and Mike Scaccia of Rigor Mortis.
