Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams has added several dates to his sold-out North American tour. The additional 2012 dates will include an eight-day run beginning on January 24 in Bethesda, Maryland, and will conclude on February 2 in Denver.
The additional dates come in the wake of Adams’ single “Lucky Now” reaching #1 on the AAA radio chart and the critically acclaimed Ashes and Fire debuting at #7 last month.
Adams finished up a run of sold-out dates on December 13 with a Minneapolis appearance at the State Theater.
Ashes & Fire may be the best-received album of Adams’ career. It producer, Glyn Johns, is famed for his work with the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash, and The Rolling Stones. Johns’ son Ethan also produced previous Adams solo work, including “Heartbreaker” and “Gold.”
The record also features guest performances from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench and Norah Jones.
