fun. Announce New Album Some Nights for February 2012 Release

New York City-based indie pop group fun. has announced plans to unveil their forthcoming album, Some Nights in all physical and digital retail outlets on February 21. The first single, “We Are Young” is available now, and has created a buzz for the upcoming album release. Check out album details, and a video for “We Are Young” after the jump.

Fueled By Ramen will also reveal “One Foot” from Some Nights as the accompanying b-side.

The group has played a series of tour dates in support of the upcoming release, including two sold-out shows at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom and a Los Angeles performance at the Troubador.

fun. formed in 2008 when Nate Ruess, formerly of The Format, teamed up with Andrew Dost of Anathollo and Jack Antonoff of Steel Train. The trio has released one other full-length studio albums, Aim and Ignite in 2009.

The group is known for engaging live performances, and have proven themselves in venues like this year’s Coachella Festival.
